I am Department Head and James W. Bagley Chair Professor of Electrical & Computer Engineering at the Mississippi State University (MSU).

Before arriving at MSU, I was Cluster Lead (2016-2020) for Computer Systems Research at National Science Foundation and the Walter B. Booth Professor at North Dakota State University, where I started my career in 2008.
I am a Fellow of the IET and BCS. I am a Distinguished Member of the ACM. I am a Senior Member of the IEEE.

I study optimization, robustness, and security of computer systems.

My work has appeared in 450+ publications (including 9 books) and cited over 22,500 times.

Currently advising: 4 PhD and 4 MS students. (Graduated: 2 postdocs, 16 PhD, and 6 MS students.)

Fully-funded doctoral positions for Spring 2024:
1:- Two in quantum information systems.
2:- Two in computer systems.

Simulation software I co-wrote: xFogSim; FogNetSim++; CloudNetSim++; GreenCloud; and NutShell.

Recent keynotes: MetroCAD'19; ICIoT'19; IVLSI'19; UCC'20; IoTSMS'20; ICMI'21; Glob-FIST'21; BCSI'21; AICCSA'21; FIT'21; IEMECON'21; and WiCON'22.
