 Short Bio

I am James W. Bagley Chair Professor and Department Head of Electrical & Computer Engineering at the Mississippi State University.

Before arriving at MSU, I was Cluster Lead (2016-2020) for Computer Systems Research at National Science Foundation and the Walter B. Booth Professor at North Dakota State University, where I started my career in 2008.
I study optimization, robustness, and security of computer systems.

My work has appeared in 450 publications (including 9 books) and cited over 21,000 times.

Currently advising: 1 postdoc, 4 PhD, and 4 MS students. (Graduated: 16 PhD and 5 MS students.)

Simulation software I co-wrote: xFogSim; FogNetSim++; CloudNetSim++; GreenCloud; and NutShell.
