Dr. Yu Luo is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering at Mississippi State University. He received his Ph.D. degree from the University of Connecticut in 2015 and his M.S. and B.S. degrees in electrical engineering from the Northwestern Polytechnical University, China, in 2012 and 2009, respectively. Prior to joining MSU, he was a postdoctoral researcher and research scientist at South Dakota School of Mines and Technology (SDSMT). Dr. Yu Luo was a co-recipient of the Best Paper Award in IFIP Networking 2013. His current research mainly focuses on edge computing, sustainable wireless networks, cyber-physical systems (CPS), internet of things (IoT), and underwater cognitive acoustic communications.
